Wine Fun

Wine Tasting After The Covid Era

Most wineries either closed or greatly reduced their in-person wine tastings and events when the pandemic struck. Now that they’ve re-opened you may notice a change in their operations.

A lot of wine tasting is now outdoors, regardless of weather, to allow more personal space and airflow.

More wineries have encouraged wine picnics on their grounds. Wine picnics are where you enjoy bottles of a winery’s wine on their grounds: at a table, lawn, or some other designated area. It’s a way for wineries to continue wine sales to small groups with less indoor interaction with a wine server.

Most wineries are requiring prepaid reservations for wine tasting and picnicking. This helps them ensure adequate space is available, and to manage staff levels. The fees cover costs of operations, providing stemware, cleaning, etc.
